Police are there to protect the state. Police are there to break protests, usually with violence.
police uphold white supremacy, capitalism, and fascism, police are not for the people, they are for the state. it was even legally declared that it is not the police’s job to defend the people. their job is to protect the state and the state’s interests alone.
